“Start Strong.”
Growing up comes with questions — about your body, your cycle, your emotions, and your health. At Women’s Medical Center, we help you understand what’s normal, what needs attention, and how to care for your body with confidence. Our all-woman team creates a welcoming environment for your first visit and every visit after.
What to Expect at
Your First Visit
Your first gynecology appointment is about comfort and understanding — not stress. You’ll start fully clothed, sitting with your provider to discuss your medical history, family background, and any questions or worries. Only after you feel ready will an exam be performed, and everything will be explained step-by-step.
We know this can feel intimidating, especially the first time. Our goal is to help you feel seen, respected, and confident in your own health journey.

Common Concerns for Younger Women
- Period Changes and Pain
Irregular, painful, or heavy periods can signal conditions like polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, or anemia. We can evaluate your hormones, perform an ultrasound, and create a plan that brings relief — often with simple treatments such as birth control pills or hormone regulation. - PCOS and Fertility Basics
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is a common hormonal condition that can cause missed periods, weight gain, acne, and unwanted hair growth. It’s also linked with insulin resistance. At Women’s Medical Center, we help you manage PCOS and support your fertility goals — from balancing hormones to evaluating ovarian health and ordering fertility testing when needed. - Birth Control and Family Planning
Your lifestyle, health, and future plans all influence which birth control method works best for you. We offer pills, implants, IUDs (hormonal and non-hormonal), patches, and injections — with same-day availability in many cases. Pain management options are available for IUD insertion, and your insurance coverage is verified before treatment so there are no surprises. - STI Screening and HPV Vaccination
Protecting your sexual health is a vital part of prevention. We offer confidential screening and same-day treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). HPV vaccination is recommended up to age 46 — and it’s one of the best ways to prevent cervical cancer later in life. - Emotional and Hormonal Wellness
Mood changes, acne, and premenstrual symptoms (PMS/PMDD) can all be related to hormonal shifts. We screen for depression, discuss emotional health openly, and can prescribe medication or recommend supportive therapies when needed. - Pregnancy Testing and Early Care
If you think you might be pregnant, we provide confirmation visits — including in-office ultrasounds — and connect you with the right next steps for care. - Post-Partum Care
Once you’ve delivered a baby, Women’s Medical can facilitate your care right away, from managing your healing to any post-partum depression you may face.
