Decades of Caring for Local Women
For generations, Women’s Medical Center has been a trusted part of life for women in Fayette and Coweta counties. Through decades of change in medicine, technology, and women’s health needs, one thing has remained constant: a deep commitment to thoughtful, compassionate care for women at every stage of life.
What began as a small, community-focused practice has grown into a modern gynecology center—guided by experienced physicians who understand both where women’s healthcare has been and where it needs to go next.
A Legacy Built on Trust
Women’s Medical Center traces its roots back nearly 60 years, serving multiple generations of local families. Mothers, daughters, and granddaughters have turned to this practice not just for care, but for guidance—often returning to the same office where they were once patients themselves.
That continuity has shaped the practice’s philosophy: take time, listen closely, and treat women as whole people—not just a diagnosis.
This approach has allowed Women’s Medical Center to remain small by design, personal by choice, and deeply connected to the community it serves.

Before the Modern Era:
A Foundation of Women’s Care
Long before today’s physicians stepped into leadership roles, Women’s Medical Center was shaped by a succession of dedicated physicians who established the practice as a cornerstone of women’s healthcare in the region. Through decades marked by evolving medical standards and changing expectations for women’s health, the practice built a reputation for reliability, clinical skill, and deep community trust. These early years shaped a culture that valued long-term patient relationships, continuity of care, and the belief that women deserve specialized, attentive healthcare close to home.
As medicine advanced and women’s healthcare grew more complex, the practice entered a new chapter—one defined by intentional leadership, deeper specialization, and a renewed focus on gynecologic care.

Dr. Elizabeth Moore:
Experience, Perspective,
and Purpose
Dr. Elizabeth Moore joined Women’s Medical Center more than two decades ago and has been a defining force in its modern identity. With over 30 years in medicine, Dr. Moore has cared for tens of thousands of women—through adolescence, pregnancy, midlife, and beyond.
In recent years, Dr. Moore made a deliberate shift to focus exclusively on gynecology. This transition reflects both her experience and her belief that women deserve unhurried, specialized care—especially as healthcare grows more complex.
By stepping away from obstetrics, Dr. Moore created more space for what matters most to her patients: deeper conversations, thoughtful evaluation of symptoms, and time to explain what’s normal, what’s not, and why.
Her leadership has helped guide the practice into its next chapter—one rooted in clarity, education, and long-term wellness.
Dr. Ticaria Lipsey:
Innovation, Access,
and Community
Connection
Dr. Ticaria Lipsey joined Women’s Medical Center as a partner with a strong vision for improving patient access, experience, and continuity of care. Over the past several years, she has played a key role in modernizing how the practice serves women—both inside and outside the exam room.

Dr. Lipsey has been instrumental in expanding same-day and rapid-access gynecology appointments, advancing in-office procedures that reduce discomfort and help patients avoid unnecessary surgery, and broadening telehealth options for established patients.
These services have been especially impactful for menopause care, birth control counseling, postpartum support, and follow-up visits.
She has also taken a special interest in menopause care and postpartum mental health, helping women navigate transitions that are often misunderstood or overlooked.
As a working mother herself, Dr. Lipsey brings a practical understanding of how busy women live—and she continually looks for ways to make high-quality care more accessible, flexible, and responsive.

Our Midwives and Other Advanced
Practice Providers
Women’s Medical Center’s legacy has never been carried by physicians alone. For many years, Advanced Practice Providers—including Certified Nurse Midwives, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants—have been a vital part of how we care for women in this community.
Certified Nurse Midwives became part of Women’s Medical Center in 2000, helping shape a model of care built on listening closely, shared decision-making, and individualized support for mothers and families. In January 2007, a Women’s Medical Center midwife delivered the first baby by midwife at Piedmont Fayette Hospital, an early milestone in expanding maternity care options in our area.
The practice has also been supported by Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners who have cared for both obstetric and gynecologic patients over the years.
Across every era, these team members have helped women feel informed, respected, and cared for—not rushed through.
This team-based foundation has helped Women’s Medical Center stay responsive as women’s needs—and healthcare itself—continue to change.

Evolving with
Women’s Needs
In recent years, Women’s Medical Center made the intentional decision to transition to a gynecology-only practice. This shift reflects broader changes in women’s healthcare—and a clear focus on doing what the practice does best.
By concentrating solely on gynecology, the physicians at Women’s Medical Center are able to see patients sooner, offer same-day visits when possible, provide continuity of care after pregnancy and childbirth, and spend more time educating women about their health.
Looking Ahead
Today, Women’s Medical Center stands at the intersection of tradition and progress.
Generations of local women know why.
