With the retirement of her father, Dr. Elizabeth has found herself the senior partner of Women’s Medical Center and is shocked by how the years since joining the practice in 1997 have flown by. She received her BA from Oberlin College where she met her husband Leonard Presberg. They then moved to Philadelphia where she graduated first in her class from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. They then headed south to Richmond VA where she completed her Residency from MCV/VCU in 1997, at which point she moved home to GA to join WMC. She has been a member of the Piedmont Fayette medical staff since the hospital opened, and has served as the Chair of the OB Gyn Department. With her 3 children grown and out of the house, she actually has some free time to enjoy cooking, gardening, and hiking up in the north GA mountains whenever she gets a chance.

Dr. Patricia Moore joined the practice in 2005. She did her undergraduate and medical training at Yale University. She then did her residency training at Johns Hopkins University where she served as Administrative Chief Resident her final year. After residency she decided it was time to move back home to be near family. Patricia is currently the Chair of the OB Gyn Department at Piedmont Fayette. She is married with two children. For fun she enjoys anything outdoors, but especially running, cycling, and swimming.
Dr. Ticaria L. Lipsey – a native of Flint, MI – is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Howard University. She completed medical school at Wayne State University and her residency training at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where she served as a clinical Assistant Professor before joining Women’s Medical Center. In her spare time she enjoys traveling with her husband Kevin and spending time with their family and friends.

She considers herself a second-generation Nigerian American. Her desire and professional goal to become a physician began at an early age and set her on a medical trajectory with curiosity. Ekemini Ima Orok, MD, MHS is a passionate Obstetrician and Gynecologist. She is a native of Albany, Georgia, born to a Nigerian father and a mother who is from Jackson, Tennessee. She considers herself a second-generation Nigerian American. Her desire and professional goal to become a physician began at an early age and set her on a medical trajectory with curiosity. She is driven by a determination to push the boundaries of excellence.
As a result of her persistence, she earned her high school diploma early and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. While matriculating at Spelman, she was dually enrolled at Boston University in the Early Medical School Selection Program. Also, while seeking further advancement and exploration of knowledge and skills in the medical field, she was accepted into an undergraduate fellowship program with the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, GA, where she obtained national security clearance that allowed her to work on vaccine production and research.
After completing undergrad, Dr. Orok entered Meharry Medical College, in Nashville, Tennessee where she earned, with accolades and honors, her Master of Health Science and Doctorate of Medicine degrees in 2015 and 2019, respectively. While pursuing her graduate and professional degrees, Dr. Orok conducted research at the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center, studying the administration of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine. She also served as a student leader within many organizations including president of the Meharry Chapter of the American Medical Association. She was also awarded the NMA Obstetrics and Gynecology Outstanding Student Award. As a resident, she was awarded the 3rd and 4th Year Medical Resident of the Year Award for her teaching and surgical excellence. In 2022, in partnership with physician colleagues and Meharry Medical College’s Center for Women, Dr. Orok participated in a research study on the Towards Ending Societal Barriers to COVID-19 Testing in the United States. She is one of the co-authors of the publication entitled The Association of Psychological Factors on COVID-19 Testing Among YWCA Service Recipients which is published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. Due to her passion for global health, she has also sponsored health missions and ministries in the name of her late grandparents, Bruno and Cornelia Orok in the villages of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
Dr. Orok is currently a board eligible physician at Women’s Medical Center in Fayetteville, GA and has hospital privileges at Piedmont Fayette Hospital a Piedmont Medical Center facility. She is a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is affectionately called Dr. Ima, meaning “love” in Nigerian Ibibio language, by her patients. She practices full scope obstetrics and gynecology, and prides herself in addressing issues of health disparities, reducing maternal morbidity and mortality, and improving the condition of women, globally. She enjoys traveling, experiencing local and ethnic cuisine, attending concerts, and writing poetry.
Kelly Jane Tipton, MD
Dr. Kelly Jane Tipton (she/her) is thrilled to join the Women’s Medical Center after completing her OBGYN residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. She earned her undergraduate degree at Georgia State University and went on to attend Mercer University School of Medicine for her medical training. Dr. Tipton has a keen interest in reproductive healthcare, contraception, transgender care, and noninvasive robotic surgery. As a graduating resident, she was selected for the AAGL (American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists) award for Recognition of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology. She is delighted to return to the Atlanta area with her husband, son, and beloved rescue dog.
Before embarking on her medical career, Dr. Tipton spent over a decade as a professional ballet dancer. She performed with the Pacific Northwest Ballet, Alvin Ailey, Atlanta Ballet, and Augsburg Ballet in Germany. You may have seen her grace the stage at the Fabulous Fox Theatre or Cobb Energy Center! Dr. Tipton remains passionate about the arts and their vital role in our culture and well-being.
Jesheena Watkins, M.D.
Dr. Jesheena Watkins will join Women’s Medical Center in January 2024 as a Hospitalist. This means that you may see Dr. Watkins if you are admitted to Piedmont Fayette Hospital. Dr. Watkins is a Board Certified Ob/Gyn and brings years of experience with her in caring for those with gynelogical or pregnancy related issues.

DeeDee Carr, C.N.M.
Dee Dee joined our practice in 2020. She graduated from Clayton State College with an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1994 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 1996. She then went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in nursing with a concentration in Midwifery from Philadelphia University. She has practiced at Southern Regional Medical Center and Piedmont Rockdale Hospital over the past seventeen years. In between caring for our patients, you can find her performing on stage! Dee Dee is married to her husband Dave and has two beautiful daughters, Caitie and Haley.
Jill Harris, C.N.M.
Jill grew up in Michigan and attended Michigan State University where she got her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then moved to Atlanta and worked at Emory University Hospital as a surgical oncology nurse for a couple years before attending Emory University and becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife. Jill then joined the practice in 2021 and is so excited to be working with women and families in this community! Outside of work Jill enjoys spending time with her family and friends, enjoys running, traveling, and hiking with her dog!
Maggie Locker-Polding, CNM
Maggie joined the practice in 2024 after graduating from Emory University with her BSN in Nursing and MSN in Midwifery. She previously earned a BA in History from King’s College London and an MSc in Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics. She lives with her husband and son in Clarkston and loves film, yoga, reading, and travel.
Marcella Marzett, N.P.
Marcella joined our practice in 2022. She grew up in Georgia, where she attended Valdosta State University. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012. She worked in several different specialties but found working with women to be her calling. She worked at Piedmont Fayette as a Labor and Delivery Nurse for six years and as their Educator for 2 of those years. She later attended Walden University, receiving her Master of Science in Nursing. Outside of work, Marcella enjoys spending time with her husband, her three children, her friends and being outdoors.
